January 28th, 2022 the first Summit & Sends at Dallas This is a redpoint bouldering competition with an exciting on-site finale! Summit & Sends - The Greatest Comp on EarthJoin us for 1 night only, January 28th 2022, at summit Dallas where we will hold a redpoint bouldering competition as you've never seen before! We have campusing, swinging, jumping, crawling, and many more wacky moves. The theme is circus, so grab the wigs, face paint, and top hats (don't forget your climbing shoes). Check-in will start at 6 p.m. where pre-registered climbers/spectators can come in to get prepped and pick up their snack ticket to use later on. Rules meeting will be at 6:45 p.m. and climbing will begin at 7 p.m. Climbers will get 3 hours to climb the thrilling & bizarre routes. Once climbing ends at 10 p.m. there will be carnival snacks to grab and drinks to savor. Make sure to bring your ID & no drinking while climbing! At the end of the 3 hours, we will pull the top 5 competitors in Elite category female, male, and non-binary for the Onsight finals (finals will be open to the public) *screams*!!!!!! Spectators come on up and get some fun too! We will have challenges around the gym to play, plus food and drinks are included in your ticket. We have 100 competitor spots. $30 for Summit members and $40 for non-members. Spectators can watch all the fun and excitement for just $25. Category Breakdown: Female, Male, Non-Binary Beginner: VB - V2 (White, Yellow and Green) Hopping skills, playground master Intermediate: V2 - V4 (Red and Blue) Solid jumping skills, maze runner Advanced: V5 - V8 (Orange and Purple) High-level jumping skills, parkour aficionado Elite: V8+ (Pink and Black) Epic jumping skills, ninja skills Prizes Male, Female, and Non-binary are in separate categories Elite category (Cash prize): 1st prize - $100 2nd place - $75 3rd place - $50 4th place - $25 5th place - $10 All other categories (Summit Gift Card prize): 1st place - $25 2nd place - $10 3rd place - $5 Here's how this redpoint competition will work: You will be able to climb as many boulder problems as you want as many times as you want. Each boulder problem will have a point value to it. Your top five boulder problems count as your total score. There will be no flash bonus. Honor system, so please no cheating! We will be using the KAYA app, so make sure you have it installed and set-up before the competition!
