Omahawk R/C & Nebraska Free Flight Clubs Instruct kids on basic principals of flight as they use Hot Glue Guns & Flight Test Foamboard. Aviation STEM Day, is the opportunity to bring youth and young adults together in a venue of offered opportunities in a variety of different aspects of Aviation, thus motivating them to select, seek, and dream their possible path through education to a rewarding career. This single day creates an opportunity for youth to identify, make connections and pursue available year-round aviation activities. In 2021 the program became year round with a New Umbrella Name: "stemAHA". Aviation Related Careers are critically short of educated, trained, technicians and mechanics. We see underutilized sources of human capital in Young Women, Physically Challenged and those who perceive financial barriers that would deny them from participating in financially rewarding and satisfying careers.
