Maintenance Mechanic Laborer Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team in addressing property maintenance needs for our housing units scattered throughout Franklin County. A qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems as well as the general maintenance of buildings and ground keeping. Requirements: This position will require an individual that will be able to shovel snow, perform tasks on ladders and be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting appliances and building materials up to 60 lbs. It also requires an individual that has the ability to organize and schedule work independently as well as demonstrating sound judgement and dedication. The maintenance mechanic laborer will be a team player with a positive attitude to meet the needs of our clients with sensitivity to elderly tenants and low income individuals. They must also have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation that will be used to transport from site to site, and the ability to operate hand power tools, grounds equipment and machinery including a tractor. The successful candidate will be required to participate in evening and weekend on-call rotation. Qualifications: Minimum of three years prior experience in property or facilities maintenance, custodial, labor, construction, and/or mechanical/ plumbing position required. Experience working within a property management setting, some computer skills, and working with varied communities.
