Part of the UCLA (Un)Common Pubic Space Lecture Series
Despite the park’s intentional design which emphasizes intergenerational needs, the park remains relatively unknown in the neighborhood. This event is intended to celebrate the park and the community through a series of performances catering to intergenerational interests, including a performance by the Heart of Los Angeles’ Intergenerational Orchestra, and a Shakespeare performance by Louis Fantasia. Docents of the park will also provide a tour of the community garden and share opportunities to get involved. Join us for an afternoon of performances, games, community building, and food!
Note: This event will adhere to UCLA and Los Angeles County COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Masks are not required, but recommended, for outdoor events.
The Ralph & Goldy Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies at UCLA advances research on how people live, move, and work in the Los Angeles region, with a focus on policies and interventions that provide paths out of poverty.
