Description
Join us for the kick-off of the Spring 40 Days Prayer Vigil! Join us for our exciting kick-off rally of the Fall 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil! We will hear from special keynote speaker: Devanie Cooper, who STARTED 40 Days for Life in Memphis! This will begin the local Memphis campaign, and will get you and your friends, church, and community excited and motivated to be part of the change here in Memphis! Don't miss out, and invite your friends! Devanie Cooper is a full-time missionary in her local church, serving in various ministries throughout the city of Memphis. She encountered Christ at 14 and shortly thereafter at 17 she responded to the Lord’s call to become a pro-life, pro-woman activist in her native Memphis, TN where she led and managed the local 40 Days for Life. She was the youngest campaign director to join the campaign in its beginnings, and at the time watched the movement in Memphis grow from 5 to over 1,000 people with over 50 lives being spared from abortion at the time of her leaving for university at 21. Her story was featured in the book, 40 Days for Life, Discover What God Has Done. Her reverence for the dignity of the human person and desire to serve our Lord in the vulnerable compelled her to then co-found in her years of University, Children of the Immaculate Heart, a non-profit serving victims of human trafficking in San Diego, California. Currently she resides in Memphis, serving our Lord through another non-profit, St. Paul Institute, which she formed to further the 30+ year work in her local Church of evangelization through a store-front model. She works to fulfill the local ministry and church supply needs in the Mid-South while creating a space for the Christian community to come and encounter our Lord through great Christian literature and resources. She has been seen or featured by the Commercial Appeal, Aleteia, Faith Magazine, Delivered Magazine, Immaculate Heart Radio, Bott Radio’s Life and Liberty, and as an opinion leader on WMCTV Channel News 5 and WREG Channel News 3. You can find more about her and the current ministry she is active in at www.stpaulmemphis.com, or you can also follow her on social media for daily posts and live videos on faith, spirituality, and Christian living. If you are new to 40 Days for Life - welcome to the 40 Days for Life Family! We have been able to see first-hand how praying for an end to abortion outside abortion centers makes a difference. There have been babies saved through our volunteers faithfully standing in prayer. Now, in a time of upheaval in our country, we have a vision for what our peaceful vigil can accomplish this Spring: • Reduced abortion rates – by 15%… 20%… 25%… Or more! • Recruiting and mobilize hundreds of new people into effective, life-saving efforts • Bringing churches together in a historic display of Christian unity and action All these results have been realized in other communities, and – with God’s help – could happen here in our city as well. Join us as we spread hope and healing - standing in prayer for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly: defend the rights of the poor and needy.
