Joins GCPL and author Alex Robson in conversation with Emmy winner Kolinda Scialabba as they discuss Robson's book, "The Freedom Cards"
In 2006, Alex Robson, then a high school student in Georgia, came up with a simple question: What does freedom mean to you? The idea was simple but difficult all the same: How do people connect? So he began collecting ideas about freedom on 3-by-5 index cards.
Over the next 15 years, thousands of people from around the world, from. U.S. politicians, actors, entertainers, to foreign leaders.
Now as an educator in Gwinnett County, Robson has published a book of the cards containing more than 500 responses on the meaning of freedom.
