This course provides the firefighter the basic knowledge of strategy and tactics and how to apply the evidence-based fire research. Date: February 15 from 1800-2100 Location: Beaver Falls High School (1701 8th Ave, Beaver Falls, PA 15010) Instructor: Mark Stowe Prerequisites: Age 16 and up, Fire Dynamics Fundamentals Description: This course provides the firefighter the basic knowledge of strategy and tactics and how to apply the evidence-based fire research conducted by Underwriters Laboratories, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and other fire service organizations to fire ground operations. This course introduces new terminology related to fire dynamics, ventilation, flow paths, door control, transitional fire attack, basement fires, and new concepts for developing strategy and tactics.
