Join us on a series of FREE storytelling-infused bike tours highlighting art, bike sharing, public transportation, & community development. Choose954 is excited to partner with The City of Fort Lauderdale's Transportation and Mobility Department in partnership with PeopleForBikes, Better Bike Share Partnership, Broward B-Cycle, and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale as we invite you to an afternoon of fun and learning as we cycle a 4-mile loop from/to Esplanade Park via Flagler Village and MASS District. Riders will here from local story tellers along the way including artists, spoken word poets, local business owners, and Choose954 co-founder Evan Snow leading the tour to help better connect us with our community. Ride starts at Esplanade Park (400 SW 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale. FL 33312) Ride starts at 11am, but please arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete the pre-ride sign in and preparation (if you are borrowing a B-Cycle bike) Options for getting there: Ride your bike Broward County Transit Route #81 and #22 Park at Arts and Science District Garage (101 SW 5th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312). Limited number of street parking is also available at Esplanade Park 😷 We will adhere to CDC guidelines: Maintain at least 6 feet distance. If you can't stay at least 6 feet apart from people who don't live with you, please wear your mask. Bring water, sunscreen and wear a helmet According to Florida Statue 326.2065(d) Bicycle Regulations: A bicycle rider or passenger who is under 16 years of age must wear a bicycle helmet that is properly fitted and is fastened securely upon the passenger’s head by a strap and that meets the federal safety standard for bicycle helmets, final rule, 16 C.F.R. part 1203. If you would like a free bicycle helmet contact Recyclable Bicycle Exchange, a local non-profit at (954) 540-7609. Weather cancellation: Event will be postponed 2 hours before event time in the case of 50% or more chance of rain. Light refreshments and goodie bags will be provided at the event.
