Car Crashes Into 3 Vehicles, Flips Over, Driver Killed: Troopers

POLK COUNTY, FL — A rollover crash killed a 17-year-old of Poinciana Thursday afternoon on Hinson Avenue East in Polk County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. As the teenager drove westbound on Hinson Avenue East, west of Power Line Road, just after 4 p.m., three vehicles drove eastbound on Hinson, authorities said. The teen's car crossed the centerline of the road, and crashed almost head-on with the first of the three vehicles traveling eastbound, and then his car spun crashing into a truck, according to investigators. After he crashed into the truck, his car flipped over and hit another truck. Troopers said he died at the crash location. It is unknown why his car drove across the centerline, according to investigators. *The Florida Highway Patrol will not release the names of victims because of Marsy's Law.
