HERNDON, VA — Taco Bamba, the popular Washington, D.C.-area restaurant chain founded by Chef Victor Albisu, is coming to Herndon later this year.
Albs announced that he plans to open his seventh location this summer at 2445 Centreville Road in the Village Center at Dulles shopping center.
The new restaurant will occupy a 2,850 square foot space with 20-30 indoor seats and include seasonal patin.
"From the thousands of requests we receive to bring Taco Bamba to different neighborhoods locally and around the country, our fans in Herndon have been among the loudest and most vocal," Albisu said, in a release. "All I can say is I hear you, Herndon, so you're getting lucky number 7."
Abisu and his culinary team of Tom Hall and Faiz All will prepare a unique menu just for Herndon, offering tacos, tostadas and super tortas.
"I believe Herndon is a true melting pot of cultures and people from different backgrounds," Albisu said. "It is the type of area where Taco Bamba can thrive creatively."
The menu for the Herndon Taco Bamba will also offer newly added items like Pack the Bowl, which is the restaurant's take on salad. It will also feature location -specific empanadas and free coffee till noon to accompany it all-days breakfast items.
"While we have our eyes on national expansion, we are a Northern Virginia-based concept and brand, and we continue to believe in growing locally as well," he said. "Taco Bamba doesn't always go where the action is but if it's not there we bring it, prepare your mouth Herndon. We can't wait to give you all we got."
Taco Bamba's event location in the D.C. area will open this summer at 2445 Centreville Road in the Village Center in Dulles. (Google Maps)
