ASHBURN, VA — A victim in Ashburn was robbed by a pair of armed men on Thursday evening, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The victim had originally arranged to sell a pair of shoes to the robbers, who then stole items from the victim's home. The suspects were not located on Thursday evening. Authorities believe the men fled the area in an unknown vehicle. The robbery occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6 in the 43700 block of Piedmont Hunt Terrace, the sheriff's office said. The victim told police that he was selling clothing through a social media application. Two men had arrived at the victim's home on Thursday to purchase a pair of shoes, according to the police report. As the victim and the men began to discuss payment, the men began to take items from the victim's room and started to run from the home, police said. The victim caught up with one of the men in the home's garage. A physical struggle ensued, and both subjects displayed firearms, police said. Deputies responded to the area and established a perimeter. They searched the area with assistance from a Fairfax County Police Department helicopter. The suspects were not located on Thursday night, according to the sheriff's office.
