ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police announced that they found a gun during an Annapolis traffic stop on New Year's Day. Officers said they arrested the District of Columbia suspect, identified as 25-year-old Damonte Tresvon Throrton.
Authorities pulled the vehicle over around 8:30 p.m. Saturday near West Street and U.S. Route 50. An equipment violation prompted the stop, police said.
Officers learned during their encounter that the driver had a Glock handgun in the glove box. The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the suspect is legally prohibited from owning firearms.
