The Vanderburgh County Solid Waste District is holding its annual holiday recycling day this Saturday.
Rather than putting the holiday cardboard, mail, newspapers and cans in the trash, county officials are giving residents an opportunity to haul it all to be recycled.
The Holiday Recycling day begins at 8 am on Saturday – Vanderburgh County residents can bring their items to the old Walmart west parking lot on University Drive until noon.
The recycling drive is also a way to repurpose a live Christmas tree – Randy's Tree Service will take trees and mulch them for free.
Wesselman Nature Society is operating the drive.
The next recycling day will be February the 5th.
