Press release from the Chester County Government: December 30, 2021 Closure of Tower Health's Jennersville and Brandywine Hospitals has resulted in the loss of crucial healthcare support in the central, western and southern parts of Chester County, including emergency medical care. This webpage provides resources and answers to questions that arise due to the two hospital closures. This information will continue to be updated. Hospital Closures Jennersville Hospital Records Request for Current Patients Jennersville Hospital and emergency department closed on December 31, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Brandywine Hospital Closure InformationRecords Request for Current Patients Brandywine Hospital and their emergency department are scheduled to close on January 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm. Brandywine's remaining clinical services are in the process of being scaled back prior to the scheduled closing date. All Chester County hospitals, and most hospitals in the region, continue to experience higher than normal volumes of patients, specifically in their emergency departments. This can result in extended wait times. Please note ER treatment is prioritized by emergency medical need at the time of arrival and not by method of arrival at the ER (personal transportation or ambulance).
