Press release from the City of Raleigh: Jan 6, 2022 The Department of Equity and Inclusion, in partnership with the Raleigh Human Relations Commission, will host the first Social Equity Book Club event of the year on Thursday, January 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.  This book club event is focused on Heather McGhee's book titled, The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together.(link is external) Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the book's themes and share experiences.
