OCEANSIDE, CA — A 27-year-old man was found shot to death early Wednesday in a neighborhood near Ocean's Eleven Casino, authorities reported. The victim was lying in the roadway in the 200 block of Brooks Street, just east of Interstate 5 and south of Mission Avenue, when a passerby spotted him shortly before 2 a.m., according to the Oceanside Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, OPD spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza said. His name was withheld pending family notification. Police have released no suspect information in the case. — City News Service
