SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown Public Library announced its buildings will be closed on Friday due to the snowstorm. The library system encompasses buildings in Smithtown, Nesconset, Kings Park, and Commack. The library system wrote on Facebook it plans to reopen at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Originally, the Smithtown Public Library said Friday would have a delayed opening of 1 p.m., but it has since reversed course, closing for the whole day. Here is the latest on Friday's snowstorm.
