HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department is trying to identify a woman seen on security footage during a shoplifting incident Dec. 31. Police said the woman stole approximately $700 worth of merchandise from a Hoover business and was seen getting into a blue Kia Forte occupied by a white man with a child in the backseat. Hoover police posted a photo of the suspect on social media Friday: Hoover PD Anyone who may recognize this person is asked to contact Hoover Detective Jonathon Chambless at 205-444-7632.
