Full-time, live-out housekeeper position working for a down-to-earth family of four that values loyalty, kindness, excellent communication skills, and professional boundaries. Our ideal housekeeper will stay for many years to come! Employee will work a standard Monday – Friday schedule consisting of a forty-hour workweek. Weekends/Overtime may be required on occasion, but we strive to offer employees work/life balance and it is not requested frequently. Working in close partnership with the Principal, the Housekeeper will ensure that the highest standards for cleanliness and optimal organization standards are always maintained. Successful candidate will work in tandem with our nanny, who is responsible for keeping all things child-related clean & tidy. Housekeeper should have a sunny disposition, excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, positive, quick on their feet, energetic, reliable, punctual, quiet by nature, self-motivated, meticulous, and takes pride in a job well done. The phrase, “If it’s not clean, it’s dirty” should be your motto. You will view cleaning preferences from the Principal as a helpful tool to doing your job better. Responsibilities include: • Conduct daily walkthroughs and quality checks to drive cleanliness, productivity, and efficiency. • Detailed cleaning of the entire home • All laundry duties; washing, folding, ironing, steaming, care for fine garments, and wardrobe management. • Manage incoming/outgoing dry cleaning to include maintaining a dry-cleaning log • Management and organization of closets, pantries, drawers, etc. with special attention to Principal’s preferences with regards to standards • Caring for fine furniture, art, and fine surfaces • Grocery shopping or running of errands as needed • Occasional pet care may be required (One small dog in the home) We are looking to create a tone of harmony and invisible service while not feeling stuffy or overly formal. This is a uniformed position. Seeking to hire ASAP. A background check will be conducted. Bonus points if your friends accuse you of having OCD, you have experience as a laundress, you enjoy working in a home with young children, or if you have worked in a semi-formal environment.
