Description
Ok here goes,
I've been playing guitar and singing for about 30 years (I'm 44). I'd say I'm decent to good, and working on getting better. I know a bunch of covers, but I've never really played with a band more than just a few times goofing off.
If you can relate, and play the same or other instruments, let's talk. Like the title says, I'd like to start a 'dad band'; meaning casual approach to cover tunes with not too much time to spare between work and family (or other obligations).
You don't have to have kids (or even be a guy) to be in this band, though. But that's the general pace and attitude I figure makes the most sense for this 'project'. We could practice a few times a month (or more) and figure out what songs we all want to work on. Maybe we gig, maybe we record, but mostly we can just have a chance to jam and get decent at some tunes we all enjoy playing and singing.
It might be best if you're in South or Central Austin, so we can meet up more often.
Sound good? Awesome, let's see what happens.
Marc
P.S. I can provide some examples of my playing by email if you want.
