Small company atmosphere, we work as a team. Company owner and service manager assist with service calls, diagnosing turf issues, and in answering customer concerns. 4. Performance bonuses paid at the end of each round of applications throughout the year. We are seeking an experienced lawn care technician to service an established route of approximately 500 residential lawns. Approximately 95% of our properties can be serviced with a ride-on spreader. Seeking a candidate who can enjoys working as part of a team, but also capable of working independently to fulfill company goals. The ideal candidate is self motivated and interested in growing with the company. The ideal candidate has multiple years of experience as a lawn care technician, but anyone with an interest in learning will be considered. Ideal candidate has the ability to develop strong rapport with clients while effectively caring for their lawns. We strongly believe that the application of turf care products is only part of the total package. Our goal is not only to provide excellent lawns, but also to provide excellent customer service and education to all of our clients. The ideal candidate not only understands basic turf agronomy, but also has the ability to communicate with customers to achieve excellent customer satisfaction which in turn provides strong customer retention and referrals. Responsibilities: Proper application of lawn care and pest control products in accordance to label specifications and company procedure. Basic knowledge of herbicides and pesticides, ability to calculate rates based on label recommendations. Basic in-field repair of spreaders, sprayers, and equipment. Safely operate ride-on spreader/sprayers, backpack sprayers, and push spreaders Evaluate lawns for issues such as weed invasion, disease development, and insect damage and provide appropriate suggestions for corrective action as needed. Measure and provide evaluation and estimates for potential new clients. Establish friendly and professional relationship with clients. Learn and be able to explain both the application and purpose of all services offered. Efficient completion of production goals, while providing the best customer service possible. Communicate openly with company owner regarding turf related issues, client interactions, equipment repair needs, etc. Minimum Requirements: Previous industry experience preferred, but not required Ohio Department of Agriculture commercial applicators license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months Ability to lift 75lbs. Willingness to work in variable weather conditions. Ability to communicate with both customers and company owner. Ability to work as a member of a team. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record (no major violations in past 5 years, no more than 1 moving violation in past 2 years) Reliable transportation to work and cell phone. Basic computer skills. Hours: The independent nature of this position allows for some flexibility.
