Sea Shanty/ Traditional Folk — Seeking singers and instrumentalists.

Description

I’m looking to start a band that does sea shanties and traditional maritime folk songs. I can sing and play guitar, and also currently play bass in another band. I’ve played lots of genres of music, but I love shanties and have wanted to start a project centered around it for a while (and long before it was a Tik Tok trend!) I want to capture the spirit of these sailing songs, in a non-cheesy way that has a bit of an edge to it. I picture this having several people who can sing and few instruments as well, so it will be a huge plus if you can do both. I’d love an accordion, but if you can play piano then getting a melodica in there would be great too (I own one if you want to try it). Definitely some kind of percussion, and possibly guitar, bass, mandolin, violin, whistle, really anything. I’m 31 and male, but I’m open to play with anyone that has a passion for the music and knows how to have a good time.
