Michelle Anne Simmons is the Founder and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Why Not Prosper.  She was formerly incarcerated and is a recovering addict.  She is an extraordinary role model for women.  In 2008, Michelle graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and December 2010 she graduated with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She is also a Certified  Allied Addictions Practioner and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. In addition, she is currently working towards a Ph.D. specializing in forensics. Rev. Simmons founded Why Not Prosper in 2001 with a mission to help women in the PA prison system discover their own strength by providing them with the support and resources that will empower them to become responsible, economically self-sufficient and contributing members of the community. Our programs help women: *  Find employment *  Increase job skills *  Retain employment *  Secure safe, decent and affordable housing *  Abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs *  Re-unite with their children *  Not return to prison
