My name is Shelagh (sounds like Shay-la) and I am the one-woman show behind Stuart Moores Textiles, a natural dye studio based on the east coast of the United States, right outside of Washington, D. C. I create naturally dyed embroidery flosses and fabrics as well as a line of plant-dyed accessories, all dyed by hand with 100% natural dyes, mixed up and handmade in the SMT dye studios. SMT specializes in creating plant dyed colors using traditional techniques and dyestuffs to create the widest range of natural colors from the most lightfast and color-fast plant dyes that have stood the test of time. I am very proud of the years I have worked to create each of these color recipes, I hope you enjoy them too!
