Description
Hi, If you are looking for an immediate situation, this is not it. If you have some patience and are looking for a steady band for the next 6-7 years, please read on. We are a four piece classic rock band really starting to hit our stride after 3 years. We are a hybrid of covers with 10 originals. Maybe we’ll add another original here or there, maybe not. Just depends if the mood strikes. Covers are mostly from the 60’s/70’s. All the greats – Stones, Cream, AC/DC, CCR, Deep Purple, Skynyrd, etc. Our ages range from 47-53. Even with Covid, we have been gigging and we are lining up gigs for this year, pending severe covid interference. We have excellent gear. Our drummer is relocating in September, but will likely be increasingly tied up as the months go by, particularly by June/July. We believe it would be prudent to start looking now for two reasons 1) chemistry and fit will be as important as skillset and could take a while to find, and 2) to fill in if needed by hopefully April/May. Our drummer is a BIG part of our sound. Lots of tasteful fills, a real driving engine. We all put our own stamp on what we play. The first step of this process will be a phone conversation, and the second step a face to face meeting. If that goes well, then some sort of audition/rehearsal. A few deal-breakers and miscellaneous notes: • ABSOLUTELY no drugs (including pot/marijuana card, etc.) – just won’t fit with us • NO moderate to heavy drinking during rehearsals or gigs (only one of us really drinks at all) • You must live within a reasonable distance between Collegeville/Douglassville (currently rehearsing in Collegeville, but will be moving rehearsals in 3-6 months to Douglassville (this will probably be non-negotiable; we’ll have a kit there, or you can leave one there if preferred; but certainly you can use whatever you wish for gigs) • Must have open availability for getting together (we are pretty erratic in getting together to be honest; it could be any night or weekend day; it could be 3 times in 10 days before a gig, or we may not see each other for 3 weeks after a gig); the point is we can’t accommodate a person with lots of commitments outside the band such as driving kids to activities 4 nights a week or going away weekends for travel sports, etc. – that just won’t work • The closer you are to our ages the better, just for the sake of common bonds • Figure we have a good 6-7 years of shelf life • The perfect scenario for us will be to gig 12-18 times per year; we are building up our reputation, but feedback has been extremely positive at our gigs and every venue has said they’ll have us back • None of us are virtuosos or gifted musicians (except our drummer), but we make a fantastic unit; what we do we do really well, and with passion • We are all down to earth, working/family guys, and get along really well Send me a note and I’ll send you our band name, YouTube channel, audio/video clips, set list, etc., and I can answer any questions you have. Take a listen and we’ll set up a phone call if it’s appropriate. Thanks!
