CERT Damage Assessment
This is a state certified class taught by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS). Damage Assessment is the process for determining the nature and extent of the loss, suffering, and/or harm to the community resulting from a natural, accidental or human-caused disaster. Damage Assessment is part of the CERT size up model and this class provides the certification to assess structures for damage.
This course is required for the Search & Rescue Team. All CERT volunteers are welcome to register for this course as a refresher. If a major disaster occurs, we will need as many volunteers as possible to assess the damage.
All 2022 classes will be held twice a year, so if you are unable to make this course another one will be offered in September.
Please contact Kassandra Buster with any questions regarding the details of the course.
