Are you interested in natural resources, forestry, or just enjoy being outside? Heart of Oregon Corps’ AmeriCorps program is for you! As an AmeriCorps member you will gain a variety of job skills, explore educational opportunities, earn a living stipend, and upon a successful term, earn an education award worth over $1,700! We offer both Full-Time and Part-Time options ranging from 3-5 days a week. This 13week (full time) and 18 week (part time) commitment is based in Bend and Prineville, and our crew members come from all over Crook, Jefferson, and Deschutes counties. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to give back to your community, gain professional experience and certifications, explore Central Oregon, and earn an education award! Our crews work on trail building, fencing, fire fuels reduction, and invasive weeds projects all year. No experience is necessary for these – we provide training in all project areas and help you explore career and educational opportunities.
