Cap’n Mark and Skippy the Inflatable Monk Seal will be on hand at Storybook Theatre on Saturday January 22nd from 10:30 until noon.
Cap’n Mark will be telling stories for young people under 12 years who are accompanied by their parent or guardian. Children will be allowed inside of Skippy and will learn about the life cycle, behavior and migration of our very own sea mammal that is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. There will be Monk Seal coloring activities and a nutritious snack served. Storytime at Storybook Theatre is a new program as a part of the Heritage Media Center.
The purpose of The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii is to enable Hawaii's school children to experience and participate in the performing and media arts, SBTH also perpetuates the cultural values and heritage of the peoples of Hawaii and the Pacific.
