Alt-Country band in the vein of Wilco or Uncle Tupelo

Description

Howdy, just moved to Houston from the Midwest over the holidays (actually grew up here but was gone for a couple of decades). I'm a guitarist and bassist looking to jam and potentially form a band in the vein of Wilco or Uncle Tupelo. Meaning alt-country that isn't afraid to rock out, get punky, or even krautrock-y or psych-rocky at times. I've played in a bunch of different bands in New Orleans and Chicago over the past 15 years including heavy alt-rock, punk, and surf rock. I'm in my mid-30's with wife/career, so not looking for anything super serious. Mostly interested in jamming and songwriting and recording some cool original material. Maybe jam a cover every now and then, but writing original music is key. Would also be down to play the occasional gig around town. I currently reside on the westside and would prefer to find others to play with inside the city limits. Mainly looking for a drummer and another guitarist or bassist. Ideally would love to switch between guitar and bass as needed. Bonus points if you have a good voice. I can sing a bit, but probably better suited for a backup role. If this sounds interesting to you, please shoot me a message. Thanks!
