WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Superintendent Glenn Brand announced the departure of two district principals at the latest School Committee meeting. Brand said Dec. 15 taht leadership searches would begin immediately to replace High School Principal Linda Peters and Wildwood Early Childhood Center Principal Charlotte King, as first reported by the Wilmington Apple. "Ms. Peters has announced that she intends to retire at the end of the school year," Brand said. "That is obviously disheartening for us to lose such a tremendous and longstanding leader in the district." King, who was on leave this year, already resigned, Brand said. "Time is of the essence as it relates to leadership searches," the superintendent said. Job postings are already available for both positions and communications have gone out to the school communities seeking to form search committees. The full meeting is available here from WCTV.
