WISCONSIN — A Powerball ticket sold in Wisconsin will get half of the $632.6 million jackpot, officials announced Thursday. Two winning Powerball tickets were announced in Wisconsin and California in Wednesday's drawing.
Winners can split the $632.6 million prize if it's paid out as an annuity or $450.2 million if paid as a cash lump sum, lottery officials said. The jackpot is the seventh largest in the game's history, they added.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing were 6, 14, 25, 33, 46 and a Powerball number of 17, the lottery said.
Matching all five numbers and the Powerball had a probability of 1 in 292,201,338. A winning ticket had to have all five numbers and the Powerball number.
The last jackpot won by a single ticket happened on Oct. 4, 2021, and scored $699.8 million in California. Since then, the prize has grown until the most recent draw.
The largest Powerball prize ever was split among winners in California, Florida and Tennessee for $1.59 billion in January 2016.
