Description
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Superintendent Michael Bergeron has canceled school in Marlborough on Friday ahead of a snowstorm expected to drop 6 inches or more in the city.
Bergeron made the no-school announcement on the district's app around noon on Thursday.
"There are no remote learning expectations, this is a traditional snow day," he said in a message to parents. "To minimize the disruption as best we can, I want to allow you time to plan childcare options for tomorrow."
The Marlborough area is under a winter storm watch beginning Thurday. Snow could begin falling very early on Friday before around 3 a.m. The brunt of the storm could pass across Massachusetts at the height of the morning rush hour, however.
