WATERFORD, CT — A Waterford woman has been charged with animal cruelty, according to a statement from Waterford police. Brenna Sulinski, 39, was charged with two counts of animal cruelty, two counts of no rabies vaccination, and two counts of unlicensed dog. Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control received a call Nov. 5 regarding the well-being of dogs at a Waterford home. The Animal Control Officer made numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact the resident, later identified as Sulinski. The concerned citizen provided photographs of two dogs at the home in very poor conditions on Nov. 17, according to the police statement. Police then secured a warrant for the home, which was executed the same day. The home was found to be unoccupied and two dogs were removed. The dogs were found to be in very poor condition and taken to a local veterinarian, police said. Sulinksi was charged Jan. 5 and held on $10,000 bond.
