STAMFORD, CT — In an effort to meet increased demand for COVID-19 testing, the city of Stamford announced that a new testing site has opened up at 689 Canal St., the location of the former Fairway Grocery Store in the South End. Accu Reference will run the site, which will be open for testing from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. A permanent schedule will be posted soon on the city of Stamford website under "COVID-19 Testing", the city said in an announcement on Facebook. Testing is done by appointment only. The city noted that capacity at the site is high, so same day appointments are likely. Results should be back within 24-48 hours but could be delayed slightly due to high volumes at the lab.
