Arlington College Students Earn Accolades At Their Schools

ARLINGTON, VA — Most college and universities ended their fall semester right before winter break. At that time, many schools announced various honors achieved by students during that academic term. Patch is taking this opportunity to share the achievements of college students from Arlington. Madeline Miller, an art education major from Arlington, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Miller earned a spot on the list by maintaining a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and being in the top 20 percent of her class in UVM's College of Education and Social Services. Rashmi Veerabhadraiah of Arlington recently completed their master of science in information systems security at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Ngoc Huyen Le of Arlington participated in fall 2021 commencement exercises on Dec. 11, 2021 at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Le earned a master of business administration degree. The following students from Arlington were named to the dean's list at the University of Maryland Global Campus for the fall term: Alexander Coleman of ArlingtonLandon Coutros of ArlingtonDarren Mann of ArlingtonJose Melendrez of ArlingtonAnthony Monaro of ArlingtonIsabelle Nguyen-Phuoc of ArlingtonSeana Shanks-Plasman of ArlingtonMerid Wondim of Arlington To receive the honor, the students needed to have completed at least six credits and earned a 3.5 grade point average for the term, as well as maintaining a 3.5 GPA at the school.
