DANBURY, CT — The state Medical Examining Board fined a Danbury physician and reprimanded his license for after he failed to review a scan before performing a procedure, the Connecticut Health I-Team is reporting. Dr. J. James Bruno II, of Urology Associates in Danbury, was fined $1,000 in December after he performed a cystoscopy on a patient in 2019 to remove a kidney stone. Had Bruno reviewed scans made before the procedure, he would have seen the kidney stone had already been passed, according to the report. For more, see the CT Health I-Team site.
