Description
Press release from the City of Portland:
January 5, 2022
New home-based child care businesses could receive up to $15,500 in grants to help them with startup costs. Existing child care businesses –including home-based providers, centers that serve less than 50 children, and out of school providers (before and after school) –are eligible to apply for up to $11,000 in grants to help sustain and grow their businesses.
This program was created in response to an increasing need for accessible, high quality, and affordable child care in Portland, as well as to meet a critical need for expanding childcare options. Focusing attention on the childcare system can also provide increased opportunity for quality jobs and entrepreneurship, therefore extending the economic impact throughout the community.
