Description

PHILADELPHIA — The deadly fire in Philadelphia Fairmount section has left numerous people in shock and devastated at the magnitude of loss. Eight children and four adults died after a fire broke out at about 6:36 a.m. Wednesday at 869 N. 23rd St. As many people wonder how to support the victims' families in a time of mourning, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help them. "On Wednesday, January 5, 2022 our family experienced a terrible tragedy," organizer Andrea Bronson wrote on the page. "A house fire tragically took thirteen of our loved ones from us." Funds donated to the campaign will be used to support funeral arrangements. Any additional funds will be used on resources for two survivors. As of 9:30 a.m. Thursday, more than $44,300 of the $100,000 goal has been raised. "This has devastated our entire family and we are humbly asking our community for assistance," Bronson wrote. "We are appreciative of any support and prayers extended to our family as we deal with this overwhelming loss." Bronson said the fundraiser has been authorized by the parents and grandparents of the victims. See here to contribute.
