LEMONT, IL — Warming centers are available in Lemont as cold temperatures are expected through the end of the week. There is a limited excessive cold risk on Wednesday, and an elevated excessive cold risk on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will start to fall on Wednesday, and the low for Wednesday night is zero degrees, with wind chills near -9. The high for Thursday is 13 degrees, and temperatures will be very cold Thursday night with wind chills near -13 degrees, according to the weather service.
Friday will also be cold, with a high of 14, the weather service said.
In Lemont, several warming centers are available for residents who may be in need. Residents should call before arriving at a facility, to ensure that they are open and operating as a warming center.
