Description
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Bristol Township Fire Rescue is currently investigating a fire that destroyed a shed and damaged several other properties on the 1700 block of Maple Avenue in Bristol Township on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
Members of the local fire rescue team were dispatched to the property around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving reports of a property fire.
Kevin T. Dippolito, Chief and Fire Marshall of Bristol Township Fire Rescue, said the fire completely destroyed a 12 x 20 shed on the property. It also consumed a large portion of vinyl fencing that was next to the shed.
The radiant heat of the fire damaged the siding on four neighboring garages and/or sheds.
While the investigation is still ongoing, investigators believe the fire started near a wood-burning stove inside the shed.
