SOUTH PASADENA, CA — A Powerball ticket worth $1.3 million came from a Chevron gas station in South Pasadena, lotto officials announced Wednesday. The ticket featured five out of the six numbers necessary to win the $632.6 jackpot, the Multi-State Lottery Association said. The winning numbers were 6, 14, 25, 33, 46, and the Powerball number was 17. Tickets with all the winning numbers sold in Sacramento and Wisconsin, the lotto association said. The people who purchased the tickets will split the jackpot. The South Pasadena ticket did not include the Powerball number. There were 14 tickets sold with only the first five lotto numbers. Two of the tickets with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, are worth $2 million because the players utilized the Power Play option, where for an additional $1 per play, a ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, is worth $2 million. The $632.6 million jackpot was the seventh-largest in Powerball's 29-year history and 11th largest in U.S. lottery history. The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9. The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot for Saturday's drawing will be $20 million.
