BUFFALO GROVE, IL β The roster for the U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team has a Chicagoland feel to it, with five local players on the roster for next month's Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Included on the roster is Buffalo Grove's Megan Bozek, 30, who will be competing in the Games for the second time. She was a member of the team that won a bronze medal at the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014.
Bozek is a 2009 graduate of Stevenson High School. She played collegiate ice hockey at the University of Minnesota and helped guide them to national championships in both her junior (2011-2012) and senior (2012-2013) seasons.
Congratulations to 2009 Stevenson graduate Megan Bozek, who was recently named to the USA Women's National Ice Hockey Team for the 2022 Olympic Games. No stranger to the Olympic Winter Games, Megan represented the USA in 2014 as the team captured the silver medal. pic.twitter.com/WxrG4hZ3Aj
