BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Community Chorus is inviting adults and young adults of any vocal ability and experience to sing in its spring concert, according to a news release from the chorus.
Those interested can come to the first rehearsal at 7 p.m. on Jan. 25 at Fire Station No. 5, 1900 Rodeo Drive, in Bolingbrook. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays until the spring concert on April 24.
The group most recently sang at several holiday events, including the tree lighting in The Promenade in November and twice at the Festival of Lights Winter Walk in December, according to a news release.
"I really enjoy that our chorus welcomes anybody regardless of how well they sing," chorus president Stephen Chojnicki said in a release. "We are just people of all generations and backgrounds coming together to serve the village with what we love to do."
The Bolingbrook Community Chorus, which was established in 1973, is a special project of the office of the mayor, the release states. There are no fees or dues to sing with this volunteer group.
The chorus sings two concerts each year and at other events around the village, including the tree lighting, the Winter Walk, nursing homes and the village picnic.
