WASHINGTON, D.C. — In the year since the Jan. 6 insurrection, 38 Ohioans have been charged in the riots that gripped the nation's capital. Last year, a mob of President Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol as Congress met to certify then-President-Elect Joe Biden's electoral victory. Five people died either before, during or shortly after the event. One person was shot by Capitol police, another died of a drug overdose and three died of natural causes. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months.
