To The Editor The Business Council of Westchester congratulates Westchester County Executive George Latimer and Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins as they begin their second terms. We look forward to continuing to work with the Latimer Administration on important economic development projects over the next four years, and we thank the county executive for his response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We would like to extend congratulations to Legislator Catherine Borgia on being chosen chair of the Westchester County Board of Legislators. We wish her success and look forward to working with her as she assumes this important role, only the second woman to serve as chair. We are confident that her experience as a village trustee and town supervisor in Ossining, as well as her 10 years as a member of the Board of Legislators, will serve her well. She has participated in many roundtable discussions with us over the years and has always been accessible and willing to listen to the concerns of the business community. When we have agreed to disagree on issues, it has been done in a professional and respectful manner. We also wish to congratulate Legislator Nancy Barr on being named vice-chair of the board. We have worked with her in her capacity as the board's representative to the Airport Advisory Council. We look forward to a constructive relationship with her going forward. We thank Legislator Ben Boykin for his leadership as chair. He brought a steady hand in guiding the board during these challenging times. We are grateful for his many years of public service after a very successful career in private business, and we look forward to his continuing service to the board and the people of Westchester.
