Responsibilities • Position Information: The full time Facilities Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of the dealership and grounds • The Facilities Janitor will report to the Buildings and Maintenance Supervisor • Learn, Understand, and incorporate the Thomas philosophy of doing business into all daily activities related to customer and coworker relationship management • Be a great team member • Successfully Maintain the following accountabilities • Maintain safe environment • Maintain an effective dealership cleaning level • Put safety first • Maintain overall cleanliness of the dealership on schedule determined by management • Clean, sanitize, and keep orderly the dealership in all customer and employee areas • Maintain the grounds as directed • Clean bathrooms and restocks paper supplies, as needed • Empty and clean all trash receptacles, inside and outside • Mop, sweep, and vacuum all flooring, including using floor cleaning machine • Dust and polish appropriate surfaces • Wash all windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout dealership • Complete light repair duties such as changing light bulbs • Remove all debris/garbage from lot and grounds • Weed, sweep, and general lot cleaning and maintenance • Assist with snow removal • Maintain cleaning supplies stock • Run errands as requested by manager • Perform other duties, as assigned • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards • Will stand six to eight hours per shift • Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds • S/he will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and feel • Will use hand and power tools. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials
