Small, pad trained. Interviewing for 5th horse/person for February 1st in our private little red barn in Napa, $210. a month Board on the 25th of the month, plus that as deposit and split insurance 5 ways for year, $54. that will be prorated from October to October. Stall, paddock, locks off to pasture if needed. You Buy your own hay, supplements, but we tend to group split delivery from Broco's in Sonoma. It is a semi co-op. We have a quad area between the barn and 5th pasture that horses can graze freely in if behaved. We have a person who cleans stalls and paddocks M-F, and we pay him $20. on our work day, so depends on the month, if $80 or $100 as the days fall sometimes 4 weeks or 5 weeks. He get's holidays off. We rotate 5 people, so each weekend, Saturday & Sunday is someone's to feed and clean all horses and stalls and pastures. You are welcome to higher someone to clean for you. But we tend to give our guy the weekend off so not to burn him out. Monday is the am and pm feed day that is opening up with this Stall and pasture. Am feed between 6am-8am, afternoon between winter dark 4:30-6pm.We all take feeding times during the week and just generally help each other out, trade, and if at barn on someone else's day and can feed we do. We have a daily text stream with the group communicating. Eyes on all horses throughout the day. Responsible for taking care of and cleaning up after yourself and your horse in common areas and horses water bins. Both automatic water in stall and buckets with floats. Locked Tack room, own storage shelf in sitting area, storage for 20 bails of hay, space for grain can, and sitting area with frig/microwave. No bathroom. Outdoor sink and 2 wash racks, 2 tie racks and cross tie in barn, arena, round pen, and back 150 acres to ride on, as well as trailer out 3 miles to Skyline park. Parking for one two horse trailer. Currently have one retired 32 year old Arabian, one ex track TB 15, and two 8 year old Rocky mountain horses. All geldings and we are looking for another gelding. We have tried a mare and it caused too much drama. Looking for a responsible, mellow, low key, committed person and horse to join us.
