Description

I am seeking a digital painter that can specialize in people and places for me. I'm looking for someone who can paint in a similar fashion to Ashley Wood and be timely with the things I send them. This is for a Kickstarter board game, so you must understand that any payment will be taken from the successful kickstarter funding. We estimate each team member to receive 1000-1500 dollars upon completion of the KS campaign at base funding, with a 10% increase for each extra 5,000 made over the base funding goal. This would be an excellent opportunity to get your work showcased in the public forum as we plan on distributing this game in every market we can. This could potentially lead to a lifetime career within the community of board game artists or with our group as a whole. I'd prefer someone local, with both training AND talent, who is hungry to make a mark. I will be submitting the sketch work I have done to you - all I wish is for it to be colored. There are still plenty of things to illustrate as well if you prefer to really dig in. NOTE: Because people seem to have issues with reading comprehension these days, I want to make it clear. We are a start-up company, with little funding at the moment. I CANNOT PAY an exorbitant amount to anyone at the outset, though I wish I could. This is one of those 'have faith and perseverance' things. I need people who are interested, dedicated, and understand that to build something we all must be in it together. My team is dedicated to this - we are tired of living paycheck-to-paycheck doing things we dislike. If you feel the same - this team is for you. I will need samples of your painting prowess, and I'd love to see some uncompleted work to know how you go about the process. Sketch work, examples of shading techniques, and ink work - if you have it - would be excellent. If you are looking for a creative outlet, then contact me and let's talk, I'm more than happy to discuss terms and such. I was trained formally for 5 years at KCAI - not at painting, so I know what it entails to be an artist - I'm quite aware of techniques, and I'm also quite aware that finished work is not a good judge of an artist's caliber. PLEASE send me unfinished stuff, old sketches, and sketchbook pages.
