The Wisconsin Union is seeking a Custodian Lead to join our team. In this position you will lead and guide 1st shift custodial staff at the Historic and Exciting Memorial Union. This Custodian Lead position is a team member of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian Team. Duties include Lead worker duties, assisting in training new employee, inspect progress and quality of building services, routine maintenance and cleaning, trash removal and snow removal. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor. Application of knowledge of current methods, equipment and materials to improve the economy and efficiency of the maintenance program. *Excellent benefits that include paid vacation time, holiday pay, & sick leave. This position is eligible to receive differential pay for nights and weekends: -Compensation for hours worked over 40 in a workweek is at “premium time” (one and a half times the regular hourly rate). -Night differential of $0.80 per hour for all hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. -Weekend differential of $0.80 per hour for all weekend hours worked (i.e., work hours between 12:01 a.m. on Saturday and 12:00 midnight on Sunday).
