Debby Neely: Create, Carve and Print a Woodblock IN-PERSON Sat-Sun March 12 -13, 2022 9:30 AM -4:30 PM Have you ever wanted to try your hand at woodcuts? If so, join Debby Neely to learn how to turn an idea or a picture into a woodcut and art print. You will safely use small, hand-held carving tools to create different textures and interest to your wood block to create an image. There will be plenty of time and guidance to become comfortable with your carving skills over the two days. After your carving is finished, you will print your image using various papers as demonstrated. If time allows, colors can be added to your prints. During this workshop, you’ll also discuss the ethics of signing prints and the history of the medium. All Levels
